Install the plugin Free & Pro

There are two ways to install:

From WordPress admin: Go to Plugins → Add New, search for “Adler Business Directory,” click Install Now, then Activate.

Manual install: Download the zip from WordPress.org, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the zip, and activate.

Once activated, a Business Directory item will appear in your WordPress admin menu.

Create your first directory Free & Pro

Go to Business Directory → Add New Directory. Give it a name, choose a directory type (Business, Member/Group, or Employee), and save.

You can also configure access control here — set it to Public, Logged-In Users Only, or restrict it to specific WordPress roles.

Tip: The free plan includes 1 directory with up to 50 listings. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited directories and listings.

Add listings or import from a spreadsheet

Add manually: Click Add New Listing inside your directory, fill in the business name, contact info, address, social links, and save. Free & Pro

Bulk import: If you have an existing list in Excel or CSV format, download the import template, fill it in, and upload with one click. Pro

Tip: The import template download is on the Import screen inside your directory. Match your spreadsheet columns to the template headers for the smoothest import.

Display the directory on any page Free & Pro

Open your directory in the admin and copy the shortcode shown at the top — it looks like [adler_business_directory id=”1″].

Go to any WordPress page or post, paste the shortcode into the content area, and publish. Your directory is live.

You can also add the directory as a widget in any sidebar or footer widget area — look for Adler Directory in the widget list.
